How ResumeFlow Tools Work
A transparent overview of the algorithms, client-side processing, and structural audits executed when you scan your resume with ResumeFlow.
1. Client-Side Tokenization & Stopword Elimination
When you paste your resume and job description, our JavaScript engine splits the text into tokens. It discards standard grammatical stop words (such as "and", "the", "responsibilities", "preferred", "candidate") so that only substantive terminology remains.
Punctuation is normalized and common English word endings are stemmed (e.g. converting plurals to singular equivalents where safe) to ensure that "microservices" matches "microservice".
2. Multi-Word Phrase & Acronym Extraction
Enterprise hiring tools do not just count single words; they search for compound phrases. ResumeFlow scans for known industry terms including "Continuous Integration", "Search Engine Optimization", "General Ledger", "Electronic Health Records", "Customer Relationship Management", and "Sprint Planning".
Multi-word phrases carry higher weighting in our estimated alignment score because they demonstrate domain literacy.
3. Section Heading & Contact Audit
ATS parsers rely on semantic section delimiters to map text into database fields. ResumeFlow inspects your document for standard titles:
- Contact Information: Validates email format, phone digits, and location structure.
- Professional Experience: Ensures a standard "Experience" or "Work History" heading is present.
- Education & Degrees: Checks for academic degree terminology.
- Core Competencies & Skills: Audits for dedicated skills lists.
- Certifications: Checks for recognized credentials (PMP, CPA, RN, AWS, CDL, etc.).
4. Complete Browser-Side Memory Isolation
Unlike legacy online resume builders that require creating a remote account and transmitting your data to server endpoints, ResumeFlow processes everything within your local browser sandbox.
